Privacy Policy
LOCUS is designed to keep your chosen photos, writing, dates, places, and related content primarily on your own device.
We do not directly collect the personal content you add to LOCUS through our own servers. Depending on the features you use and your Apple device settings, some data may be handled by Apple platform services such as iCloud.
[ Data Stored by the App ]
When you create or edit a locus, the app may store content such as the photo you selected, the writing you enter, the date, the place name, coordinates, and optional in-app settings like signature preferences.
This data is stored locally on your device so the app can display, edit, search, and export your content.
[ iCloud ]
If iCloud is enabled for LOCUS on your device, the app may store and update its local data file in your own iCloud account.
This can allow your content to be backed up, restored, or updated through Apple's iCloud services. We do not separately host that file on our own servers.
[ Permissions ]
LOCUS may request access to Photos so you can choose images to import into the app.
LOCUS may also use location-related features, including location metadata from selected photos and current-location functionality in the map view, when you allow it.
[ Third-Party Services ]
LOCUS does not currently include third-party advertising, third-party analytics, or third-party crash reporting services such as AdMob, Firebase Analytics, or Crashlytics.
[ Diagnostics and Support ]
LOCUS may keep limited technical diagnostic information on your device, such as app events and error messages, to help investigate app issues.
This diagnostic information is stored locally on your device and is not automatically sent to us.
If you contact support, you may choose to export and share diagnostic information with us so we can better understand and fix a technical problem.
We use shared diagnostics only for troubleshooting and support. We ask that you avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information in support messages.
[ Security ]
We try to keep the app's data handling simple and local-first, but no device, platform, or cloud service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
[ Changes ]
We may update this Privacy Policy over time if the app's features or data handling change.
